Welcome to the Philadelphia 4th Ward Book of Mormon reading project

Philadelphia 4th Ward
Book of Mormon
Summer Reading Project

Welcome to the Book of Mormon reading project blog. We set up this blog so we can encourage each other and help us keep on track to read the Book of Mormon this summer. The Book of Mormon helps us understand so many things, and we would like to invite you to share your thoughts and feelings as we read together.

As part of our reading challenge, we would like to:
1-Commit to read the Book of Mormon this summer. Come to church and sign the letter we will send to our Prophet, President Monson.
2-Read 5 pages a day. Start TODAY June 1st and finish on September 15th.
3-Ponder and pray about what you read. Regularly record your thoughts in your journal and/or this blog.

A quote to motivate us:
“Those who have read [the Book of Mormon] prayerfully, be they rich or poor, learned or unlearned, have grown under its power. ...

“... Without reservation I promise you that if you will prayerfully read the Book of Mormon, regardless of how many times you previously have read it, there will come into your hearts ... the Spirit of the Lord. There will come a strengthened resolution to walk in obedience to His commandments, and there will come a stronger testimony of the reality of the Son of God” (Gordon B. Hinckley, “The Power of the Book of Mormon,” Ensign, June 1988, 6; see also “The Book of Mormon,” Tambuli, Oct. 1988, 7).
Again, welcome to the blog. Please help contribute to the blog either in the comments section or by e-mailing Philly4BOM@gmail.com.
